Balance Changes
Team HP pool
Increased Base HP at day 10+
* Fights were regularly over in under 2 seconds at late game, which was too fast to be readable or satisfying.
Sell value
Level 4 now resells at its level 3 price
Geminiss
Cooldown: 10.0s → 12.0s
* Pre-emptive nerf to compensate late game hp changes
Added the Black Belt trainer: if you have exactly 1 Fighting monster on your team, its On Victory ability activates at the start of every battle.
QoL
* I wasn't happy with the current region names since they are hard to parse, hard to read, and easy to mis-spell.
The Amasia region has been renamed to Pantra
* Pangea + Terra for a region that has Batomon from all kinds of habitats
The Oshima region has been renamed to Jinto
* The region has very Japanese inspired Batomon, so still keeping the name Japanese like
Added a small tutorial for the region select screen.
Changed the Genius Inventor and the Dryad Statue events type-gain option to be able to target a monster that is already of that type.
Bugfixes
Fixed pressing New Game on the run summary sometimes leaving you on the summary screen for a few seconds before anything happened.
Added a new splash art for when loading up the game.
Chef's fire visual effect retuned to be more subtle.
Adjusted cropping of the in battle small portraits for trainers.
More tutorial improvements.
Balance Changes
Base HP value increased for day 10 and up
* Battles were often over in under 2 seconds in the later rounds which is too short to be satisfying. It also made it so things that scaled in battle had a hard time being played late game.
Batomon with abilities that "copy" stats from allies (Danuki, Gaiadrasil, Quillustrous, etc) now no longer double dip on stat multipliers, like from the Fancy Sword trinket.
Fossil Discovery event
Day it appears: 3 → 6
* Talonite being a scaler, would be better suited for a day 6 event, since there would be actual risk in trying to get it to pay off. Adjusted other options for a day 6 event.
Gold option: 20 → 40
Winged Fossil
Your Flying monsters have +20 Damage → +25% stats, except Cooldown and Multicast
Traveling Merchant event
Day it appears: 6 → 3
* Moved it earlier since the foreign Batomon coming in at day 6 often could not find a place on an established team. Hopefully it being earlier will actually get some play for either immediate power, or for some scaling.
Foreign monster: level 2 → level 1
Kaleidoscope
On Battle Start, if none of your monsters share a type they all gain +50% Cooldown Speed for the battle → your monsters that don't share a type with any ally have +25% Cooldown Speed
* Almost no one was even attempting to play with this trinket due to how restrictive the condition was. It now coming earlier and having a less strict condition will hopefully let it get some play.
Fake Diamond
Gold on your next loss: 60 → 40
Dragon Egg
Days to hatch: 3 → 2
Scavenger
Now only copies trinkets you take from a gift
* It synergized with the Curio lines too hard.
Danuki
Rarity: Rare → Super Rare
Cost: 30 → 50
* Its ability is somewhat like a damage multiplier for another carry, so it's more appropriate for it to come later in the game.
Shikitsune
Rarity: Super Rare → Rare
Cost: 40 → 35
Cooldown: 2.0s → 3.0s
Cooldown Speed given to a revived ally: 30/60/90% → 20/40/60%
* Swapped rarities with Danuki. The revival game plan for ghosts can now come online earlier.
Sproach
Cooldown: 4.5s → 5.5s
Damage gained per life lost: 50/100/150 → 30/60/90
* Had potential to instant kill late game which needed to be toned down.
Sproutquill, Fernfowl and Quillustrous
Cooldown: 5.0s → 7.0s
Sproutquill's cost: 35 → 60
* It is still overperforming late game
Ouroblaze
Cooldown: 7.0s → 8.0s
* It was already pretty good, and the late game HP increase will benefit it. So giving it a small nerf and keeping an eye on it.
Brimtoad
Cooldown: 5.0s → 6.0s
* Overperforming in the mid game, and is still solid late.
Geminiss
Cooldown: 10.0s → 12.0s
* Preemptive nerf due to the late game HP increase
Ginsage
Cooldown Speed: 15/30/45% → 10/20/30%
* Grass Batomon late game was too good with their cooldown speed buffers.
Ninflora
Cooldown Speed: 25/50/75% → 20/40/60%
* Same as above
Bugfixes
Fixed a monster transformed mid fight by Aerophim not running its new ability's battle setup, which left a transformed Tengusto counting no badges for the whole fight.
Fixed the Magic Lasso paying out nothing when it was used on the battle that won you the run and then you went into extended mode.
Fixed Locked Box paying out one rarity below the shop it opens in.
Fixed a tutorial message appearing on top of a trinket gift, a box reveal or the Mysterious Mask pick when both arrived on the same shop.
Fixed a Steam client left running in the background overwriting your account with a stale profile after you played on another device.
Added the Dryad Statue event to the Jinto set, where the "gain grass type" option gives a Ginsage.
QoL
The game now reopens on the monitor you last played it on.
The battle scene is now zoomed in on mobile, so the monsters and their numbers read better.
Balance Changes
Danuki
Now excludes other Danuki from its ability
Damage gained per ally knocked out: 100/200/300% → 100% at every level
Cooldown: 4.5s → 6.0/3.0/2.0s
Damage: 40/60/80 → 40
* It was easily reach one shot thresholds in mid/late game which is unacceptable
